This position is primarily responsible for providing clinical support to the physicians in an effort to facilitate patient flow through the practice and supporting the practice in its effort to provide quality service to its patients.


Core duties and responsibilities include the following:  (Others duteis may be assiged as it pertains to the role)

  • Performs urodynamics, pelvic floor rehabilitation, SP tube changes and catheter changes
  • Reprogramming of PNE, when applicable
  • Obtains urine culture as determined by visit
  • Takes vital signs
  • Prepares exam room and patients for procedures
  • Set up and assists physicians with procedures using appropriate sterile technique
  • Performs non-invasive procedures such as bladder scans, UA, uroflows, etc.
  • Performs all procedures that are within the scope of a RN/LPN nursing license and as directed by the physician
  • Instills bladder treatments
  • Set up and monitors and discontinues IV infusions, if certified
  • Administers proper sterilization techniques with equipment and medical waste
  • Maintains clean and aseptic exam rooms and other areas such as the laboratory station and restrooms, in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Restocks exam rooms and other clinical areas and restrooms, as needed
  • Maintains adequate inventory of all clinical supplies
  • Reports all equipment malfunctions to Clinical Supervisor
  • Observes all expiration dates on medications and discards expired ones according to OSHA regulations
  • Cleans, packages and sterilizes instruments, as needed
  • Maintains all CLIA and state regulatory logs
  • Assist and maintain waste management disposal
  • Document and process all pathology and urine specimens in EHR and accurately in the log book
  • Assists Clinical Triage with telephone calls, if necessary
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor

  • Education from an accredited nursing school with a license in the state in which they are employed or to be employed.
  • Must hold a current RN or LPN license
  • At least three or more years of previous physician office experience
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures, terminology, and practice operations
  • Knowledge and understanding of current OSHA, CLIA, and Medical Waste, etc...regulations
  • Must be highly organized and motivated with the ability to set, reach and maintain golas in an independent environment
  • Ability to handle patients in a pleasant, efficient and professional manner
  • Must possess ability to deal with patients, medical administrative staff, and all others effectively and professionally
  • Ability to communicate clearly without confusion
  • Ability to think clearly and maintain composure during stressful situations
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate assignments
